Amateurs Can Inform Us

Amateur archaeology on the California desert.

Blackrock Well in the California Desert. There are still mountain sheep in them there hills. A nice variety of petroglyphs are shown. Amateurs can show us much and teach us a few things. The people who made the glyphs are surely experienced some climate change too. The atlatl may have come to the are very, very long ago. Some knowledgeable attempts have been made to interpret them.
